Indoor Lobby Signs

Six indoor lobby and reception sign styles: metal dimensional letters, halo-lit letters, front-lit letters, acrylic panel, wood dimensional letters, and push-through letters

A lobby or reception sign is often the first physical brand impression a visitor has of a company, and it's judged by different standards than a storefront sign — closer viewing distance, the room's own ambient lighting, and a wall finish that's usually more particular about what can mount to it. We manufacture six lobby sign styles to fit that range of conditions and budgets. For guidance on matching a style to a specific type of space, see Choosing an Indoor Lobby Sign.

Metal Dimensional Letters

Individual aluminum or stainless-steel letters create a clean, permanent look, in brushed, polished, or painted finishes. The same solid laser-cut construction principles we use on exterior signs apply indoors — precise shapes and clean edges, without the outdoor weather-resistance requirements a storefront sign carries.

Halo-Lit Letters

Halo-lit letters in a reception area, soft glow against the wall

Light shines from behind each letter, creating a soft glow on the wall — a strong choice for a premium reception area. It's the same reverse halo-lit illumination method we build for exterior channel letters, adapted for an interior wall and a lower-voltage indoor power supply.

Front-Lit Letters

Front-lit illuminated letters in a reception area

Illuminated acrylic faces make the name easy to read, including in a dim lobby, and face colors can be matched to the brand. This is the same front-lit face-illumination approach used on exterior channel letters, built to interior scale and power requirements.

Acrylic Panel

A logo and lettering are applied to a clear or frosted panel, typically mounted with decorative standoffs. This is useful when the wall can't accept many individual letter mounts, or when the client wants a single clean panel rather than dimensional letters.

Wood Dimensional Letters

Wood dimensional letters and logo in a reception area

Routed wood adds warmth and texture to hospitality, wellness, and creative spaces, where a metal or acrylic finish would read as colder than the brand wants.

Push-Through Letters

Illuminated push-through letters in a reception area

Acrylic letters project through a metal panel and can be illuminated for a crisp, integrated appearance. The same push-through construction we use on exterior signs and cabinets works well as a dimensional, illuminated lobby feature wall.

We manufacture indoor lobby and reception signs for sign companies across the United States and Canada, in any of the six styles above, matched to a client's brand standards.

Indoor Lobby Signs FAQ

Are indoor lobby signs illuminated?

Some are. Halo-lit, front-lit, and push-through letters are illuminated for a lit reception area; metal dimensional letters, acrylic panels, and wood dimensional letters are typically non-illuminated, relying on the room's own lighting.

What's the difference between an acrylic panel and individual dimensional letters?

An acrylic panel applies a logo and lettering to one mounted panel, which is useful when the wall can't accept many individual letter mounts. Dimensional letters mount individually for a more three-dimensional, architectural look.

Can lobby sign finishes be matched to a client's brand colors?

Yes. Face colors, painted metal or acrylic finishes, and panel graphics can be matched to brand standards, the same as our exterior signage.
